Sheila is the founder of Breaking the Silence and Cathern's House, named in loving memory of her late mother, Cathern. Sheila was rescued from abusive foster care by Henry and Cathern Garnett, who created a loving haven for her and many others. Their home was a sanctuary, and for over 50 years, they welcomed children and sponsored kids

Driven by her personal experiences and the support she received, Sheila is deeply committed to helping others facing similar struggles. Cathern's House will provide short-term shelter for women fleeing domestic violence and sex trafficking, offering a safe environment until they can secure permanent housing. Sheila’s dedication to this mission reflects her desire to offer the same hope and assistance she once received.
